Who is responsible

GameCartDB is responsible for the personal data described in this policy. Privacy requests can be sent to gamecartdb@gmail.com.

Data we handle

• Account details such as display name, email address and verification status.
• Secure authentication credentials and active session information.
• Collection, Wishlist and related Library dates or states.
• Security information such as IP address, device details and rate-limit records.
• Technical diagnostics and aggregate usage information needed to operate and improve the service.

GameCartDB does not collect payment information or sell personal data.

Why we use it

Personal data is used to:

• Create and maintain your account and personal Library.
• Authenticate sessions, recover accounts and send essential service emails.
• Protect GameCartDB against abuse, fraud and unauthorized access.
• Diagnose failures and understand whether the service works reliably.
• Meet legal obligations and respond to valid requests.

These activities are based on providing the service you request, GameCartDB's legitimate interest in operating a secure and reliable service, and legal obligations where applicable.

Service providers and transfers

GameCartDB uses specialized providers for hosting, database storage, transactional email, analytics and error monitoring. They receive only the data needed to perform those functions. Some processing may take place internationally using the safeguards required by applicable law.

Cookies and local storage

Essential cookies keep signed-in accounts secure. Browser storage remembers choices such as theme and catalog view. A functional cookie remembers a manual language choice. Country information supplied by the hosting service is used only to choose the initial language and is not stored for that purpose. GameCartDB does not use advertising or cross-site marketing cookies.

How long data is kept

Account and Library data is retained while the account remains active. Sessions, verification records, security counters and technical diagnostics are kept only for the period needed for their purpose. Limited residual data may remain in protected backups or logs until their normal retention cycle ends.

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account from Account settings. This removes the active account, credentials, sessions, Collection and Wishlist. Data that must be retained temporarily for security, backup integrity or legal obligations is removed or anonymized when its retention period ends.

Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of your personal data. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. Send requests to gamecartdb@gmail.com. GameCartDB may need to verify that the request concerns your account.

Children

GameCartDB is not directed to children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact GameCartDB so it can be reviewed and removed.

Changes

This policy may be updated as GameCartDB develops. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new revision date.
