Cotton Reboot! revisits Cotton: Fantastic Night Dreams, the colourful arcade shoot 'em up that began the series in 1991. The witch Cotton and her fairy companion Silk set out to save Fairyland, although Cotton is mainly interested in the promise of her favourite Willow sweets. Across seven stages, she dodges enemy fire, shoots airborne foes and drops bombs on ground targets. Crystals can strengthen her weapon or change colour when shot, providing different elemental spells. Arrange Mode rebuilds the adventure with widescreen presentation, redesigned HD artwork and new voice acting. The original X68000 mode preserves the 1993 computer version for a more traditional experience, while timed score challenges offer two- and five-minute runs. Beyond completing the story, learning enemy patterns and managing crystals provide plenty of opportunities to improve your score.
