About

Ganondorf is plotting to seize the Triforce and conquer Hyrule. Guided by destiny and accompanied by Navi, Link journeys across Hyrule and two eras to become the Hero of Time and save the kingdom. Built from the ground up for Nintendo Switch 2, this remake reimagines the 1998 adventure with overhauled visuals, fully voiced cutscenes, expanded dialogue, symphonic orchestral music, faster loading and modernized camera and movement controls. New features include manual jumping and dashing, gyro aiming, a continuous day-and-night cycle, Threads of Time guidance, amiibo support, ZELDA NOTES integration and ocarina melodies performed with buttons or the built-in microphone.

Our check of a European revision 00 game card found version 1.0.0 on the cartridge. In airplane mode, the game could be played without updating by dismissing the update prompt. Around two hours of offline play were smooth, with no issues noticed during that session; this was not a full-playthrough test. A day-one download of approximately 343 MB updates the game to version 1.1.1.
